Crump's Favorites

Marrese Crump's Favorite Fight Scenes:

Bruce Lee vs. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - Game Of Death
"I really liked everything that this fight scene stood for, more than just the movements. They were at the highest level, where Jeet Kune Do is found. I also appreciated that Bruce brought in a dedicated student of his, rather than another big name action star. The fight scene itself was great because they gave the impression that neither man feared death."

Jackie Chan vs. Benny "The Jet" Urquidez - Wheels On Meals
"It was such an intense fight scene! I thought it really instilled the creativity of the martial arts into film. The incorporation of props, the environment, and even different styles is what makes this one of my favorite."

Jet Li vs. Yasuaki Kurata - Fists Of Legend
"I like this fight because it showcases two very skilled masters playing the ultimate game of combat chess. The fight tells a story and I think that is important."

Marrese Crump's Favorite Action Stars:

Bruce Lee
"I have so much respect for Bruce Lee because of his persistence and willingness to endure. He became an International Action Star, but he was so much more. He was a philosopher, teacher and truly dedicated martial artist."

Michael Jai White
"I think MJW is in a class all by himself. Being one of the few African American Martial Arts Action Stars, he inspires me to want to reach that level and higher.

Jackie Chan
"I like Jackie Chan's personality and his ability to keep you guessing. His skills are unmatched when it comes to his style of Action/Comedy. You gotta love Jackie!!

Jim Kelly
"Man, you come right out of a comic book!" LOL
"When Jim Kelly said that line in Enter the Dragon, that was it for me. He was THE MAN!"

Jet Li
"Watching Jet Li always makes me want to go practice my forms. His movements are so precise, it's amazing. He is a true master of the martial arts."
